I had a flashback yesterday as I watched the soaring rhetoric of the Great One as he played the masses and they believed. They cried and they cheered. When I was a child I was subjected to ranting and raving by the preacher. On the way home from church my father would tell us what a great sermon the preacher had today. When the kids got together by ourselves we asked each other what the preacher said. The consensus was hell we do not know what he said but he sure was excited about something. That in a nutshell is a presidential campaign especially the last one. There is a lot of talk about fighting the devil. Just who is the devil anyway. Most people in this country think it is Nancy Pelosi but I doubt that. When I went to several schools I had to learn to teach myself. The poorest way to learn is listening to someone else talk. I took notes from the lectures but then as homework I got three sources to write my own lectures. One book was at the high school level. One was the required text. One was beyond what we did in class. Sometimes I found the one that the professor was using for HIS material. When as a professor I tried to use the lecture method it simply did not work for most students. So I showed the students where I got my material. Together we made notes and practice tests. Then I had them teach each other. So my motto was always See One, Do One and Teach One. I got the outstanding professor award by the students and was asked to be the advisor to the honor society. And the lefties did every thing they could to make my life miserable. They thought that what they had to say was to be worshipped. For only they were the way, the truth and the light. Now if you go to Washington the lefty eletes have the same attitude. They are the great shepherd and we are the sheep. But having been raised on a farm with sheep I can tell you first hand what happened to the sheep. We had sheep and I often bottle feed the lambs. We gave them food and took care of them and they loved us. Then we sheared them or ate them and sometimes we did both.
