Who taught Donovan how to communicate?

"Electronic Game Card, Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: EGMI) ("EGC"), announced today that it is set to launch into the North American market a new product platform, POKEN at the 2010 Sundance Film Festival in Park City, Utah, January 21 -31."

So Poken is now one of EGMI's product platforms. What does that mean? What is the duration of the contract with Poken? How much ownership does EGMI have in North American sales? 75% 50%? 25% 10%? 5%? I don't know. I guess it never crossed Donovan's mind that shareholders might be more interested in this information than the minute details of the Sundance film festival. I'm surprised he didn't go into Robert Redford's filmography.

The PR continues:

"...Through its *association* with Poken Holding AG ("POKEN"), a privately held Swiss company that developed the next generation RF technology-based social network platform"

Association? Umm, excuse me, what association would that be? (see above rant)

"...EGC currently owns 3.45% of POKEN and holds one of the six seats on the POKEN Board of Directors."

Okay. So I guess this is the extent of the "association" with Poken, cause anything else isn't worth mentioning. Thanks Kevin.

Stephane Doutriaux, founder and CEO of POKEN:

"...With no marketing in 2009, we attracted over 50 distribution partners outside the U.S. and have spread POKEN'S to over 40 countries with particular traction in Germany, the Netherlands, Japan, and Spain. As of today, there is limited awareness in the North American market. We look forward to the *marketing muscle* of Kevin Donovan and EGC to deliver the viral effect that has proven to be a success in Europe and Japan."

Basically, Stephane just hired EGMI to promote Pokens in North America. I wonder how much they are paying EGMI for marketing.

If Donovan disagrees with anything I said in this post, then let him write a more coherent and transparent PR. Until then, we can all return to our dark rooms and wait for daylight to break.
