Good article on UTRM and product (could not get the nice picture to post, but the link is below) (after initial post I do now realize now that this is from back in November):
Waterless toothbrush could save consumers money
Dental care has always involved using water, whether it be to rinse mouths or toothbrushes, but one company thinks consumers would save money if they could brush without running the faucet.
Todd Spinelli, the vice president of United Treatment Centers, recently spoke about his company's waterless toothbrush, which will be introduced at an upcoming gathering for dental care professionals in New York.
The recession has led many Americans to look for ways to save on monthly bills. Large families often have the highest water bills, which is partly because their sinks are used more frequently. The waterless toothbrush could help these people reduce their monthly expenses.
The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) says the price of water is going up because suppliers are spending more to comply with public health standards and expand their service areas. The EPA also says that compared to other utilities like electricity and phone service, water is relatively inexpensive.
In the U.S., the average water bill consumes about 0.5 percent of household income, according to the EPA.
