I have been a biologist and a student of evolution all of my life. You always impress me when you get into biology and chemistry. You would have been a star in my field. Today you would be a superstar in college. The problem is that as a white male your resume and application would be thrown out. I was on several hiring panels. If we had 25 exceptional white males applying we could submit one name. Then we had a number of minorities who often could not pass real science courses. They took education courses and just enough science courses to be certified in Florida. They got hired and the president of the school praised our diversity. The next step to getting promotions was get a degree in higher education from a place like Nova University. Al Gore could have become a scientist using that pathway although I do not think our president could have majored in science.
