I really am having a hard time trying to understand that post. The company once they aquire shares to be retired from the O/S does not cash them in to receive ANYTHING! They are taken out of the equation so as when the time comes that they report EPS, the valuation on the PPS would be increased due to the decline on the O/S, thus creating shareholder value. That is the whole point of the buyback. To increase the value of an undervalued stock. It really is pretty simple stuff.
