1 trillion cubic feet of gas(TCF) equals about 167 million barrels of oil equivalent(BOE). You need 6 TCF of gas to equal 1 billion BOE.

I'm still seriously hoping there is a lot of condensate associated with that gas. With gas at 6 bucks per mcf and oil at 80 the revenue from the same BOE of gas is only 36/80 or less than half.

There's nothing wrong with a huge gas field and those kind of numbers probably do make it commercial at least through the eyes of the Chinese, but the reality is oil and condensate are still preferable to gas.
