you're absolutely right - it's bigger than the next closest fire that raged in the 1930's - the tillamook burn.... and at present it is burning or has burned nearly 350k acres - i heard on the news a couple of days ago that in order to contain this fire the fire crews would have to cut/build nearly 450 miles of roads and/or firebreaks
