On September 2, 2009 our parent company VIASPACE and we signed a non-binding Memorandum of Understanding (“MOU”) with DP Cleantech Co. Ltd. of Beijing China, a subsidiary of Dragon Power. Pursuant to the Memorandum of Understanding, the parties agreed to (i) review the potential of running DP’s power plants solely with Giant King Grass or in combination with agricultural waste; (ii) investigate of suitable areas to grow Giant King Grass and co-locate a new power plant; (iii) and burn significant quantities of Giant King Grass in an existing DP Cleantech power plant. As part of their due diligence, DP Cleantech commissioned an independent analysis of Giant King Grass by the China National Center for Quality Supervision and Test of Coal which confirmed that Giant King Grass has an energy content of 18.4 megajouels (MJ) per dry kilogram (4402 kilocalories (kcal) per kilogram). DP Cleantech declared Giant King Grass suitable as a renewable feedstock for generating electric power in their power plants.
(i) Who is going to review the POTENTIAL of running DP's plants?
answer.....DP
(ii) Who is going to investigate the area?...answer DP and VSPC
(iii) Burn significant quanties of GKG?....DP and VSPC....but significant quantities are needed....VSPC needs to provide GKG in mass quantities.....

The Giant King Grass energy content and ash properties are very close to that of the corn straw which is currently burned in four of DP CleanTech's 30MW power plants in China and therefore DP CleanTech is confident in the suitability of their boilers using Giant King Grass.
The next step included under the MOU will be to carry out a live trial to examine the efficiency of Giant King Grass in one of DP CleanTech's existing power plants by the end of 2009.
VIASPACE will deliver at least 300 tons of biomass every day to supplement the trial.
The NEXT step was the live trial.....300 tons a day....
On 12/2 a pr comes out

Now I'm not going to provide the whole pr....check for yourself..
Do you see anywhere the amount the first harvest produced?....at least 300 tons would have been needed for the live trial....
If I'm missing it....someone please show me.....it's not in the filings.....VSPC would be bragging it's tail off if it had mass quantities......
No wonder IR told a couple of poster's here that NO PR would be forthcoming about NO live trial....Jan avoided the issue with me about the live trial through email....only refering to the test that had been done...and very vague at that....
Now there was nothing BINDING about the MOU....but to suggest that DP wants to keep everything under raps....don't want the word to get out....real hush hush.....VSPC wants to keep things under raps.....they didn't deliver....imho
Now the DP deal may not be OVER quite yet.....the next harvest might produce enough for a live trial.....but to suggest DP is going to sign some HUGE deal....without live trials is unreasonable...imho
But I do think that what may also have happened is that the test result came in as suitable......just not do-able....that may have been the reason DP bought Bioener two weeks after the 9/14 pr.....more efficient fuel....more established company....imho
