When I was a student in the fifties the lefties were just getting a head of steam. I wrote a paper as a conservative democrat in a class taught by a liberal. She wrote on my paper that she did not agree with much of anything that I wrote about but the paper on its merit deserved an A. She would have been considered a right winger today. Today a lefty must use his power base to punish people who are using free thinking as a tool for individual achievement and responsibility. Free thinking allowed me to have a great life. I had five offers for a job as a professor in three different states. One was in California, one was in Mississippi, one was in Louisiana and two were in Florida. Today with the same credentials I think Mississippi would be the only place I would have a chance to be hired and that is probably because I graduated from Miss State.
