The affi that is described in the ibox is the same Affinity Technology Group that was based out of Columbia, SC. They used to make software for mortgage processing, which included the ability to automatically make decisions on loan approvals. This ability is what the patents revolve around.
affi went out of business several years back, with a remaining shoestring management group trying to establish licensing from other financial businesses who used similar software applications.
Involved a lot of drawn-out court battles in which ultimately affi's claims were denied.
So the value of these patents is questionable at best. Believe me, I worked at affi and held shares for many years hoping for something that never panned out.
