RB had a "sophisticated member rating system" (although who is to say how sophisticated it was) and did away with it. When they had it, people would abuse that to no end. I did't care for it, myself. The "peoplemark" that highlights posters (putting their alias in bold type) I want to read is just fine.

Contests? I don't do those.

I'll have to think about what would be an interesting (and different) feature to push that old envelope.
