My fear presently is that assets will be moved out of the company...

Happens all the time in penny stock world, and you are wise to be concerned, if you are a common shareholder.

However, majority shareholders often do what they want with little regard for your concerns. They can organize a shareholder vote and vote their own preferred or common ownership stake, leaving you in the dust.
