I'm glad someone else said this so I didn't have to.

But I will anyway.

He has two choices: He can either smarten up and get a Mac, or he can take responsibility for his own clusterf&ck PC. It's not like there isn't a MOUNTAIN of information out there about the virtually limitless dangers inherent in any Windows-based system.

From what you've said, this isn't a situation where he *has* to use a Windows machine for business reasons. He can get an older-model iBook for less than $500 on eBay.

Contrarily, if he's *going* to continue using a Windows system, he *must* take responsibility for maintaining it himself. Otherwise, you're gonna be giving him free tech support for the rest of your life.
