Interesting read. Unfortunately, this was written nearly 10 years ago and little to nothing has seemed happen to fix the problems. I also believe that there are many sham companies that work with the MMs to bilk retail investors of their money. The only option it seems to me for legitimate companies, BEHL for example, is for retail stockholders to accumulate as many shares as possible. Makes it harder for MMs to manipulate to keep the price down.

Moral of the story: do your own thorough DD, buy up the float, keep doing good DD, don't sell before your target price is reached, and don't hold your breath waiting for the SEC to act.
