IRVINE, Calif., Jan. 5 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- VIASPACE Inc., a clean energy company growing Giant King(TM) Grass as a low-carbon, renewable energy crop, today announced that on December 31, 2009, the U. S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) declared as effective the Registration Statement on Form S-1 covering the common stock of its majority-owned subsidiary, VIASPACE Green Energy Inc. (VGE).
