I'm not sure at all, but I recognize it is a possibility. I attempted to post some "connect the dots" reasoning earlier, but it got something-I'm-not-allowed-to-mention-without-violating-the-terms-of-serviced. Until anything is substantiated, it is just a rumor, and should be treated as such (just like the negative ones). However, I think it is fun to entertain the idea.

Just out of curiosity, does fpga stand for Field Programmable Gate Array?
