I have noticed the exact same thing repeated on many boards on many sites.

I can only believe that it stems from basic inexperience in the markets. The same MM conspiracy posters will conveniently ignore the fact that the same stocks move UP in the exact same "mysterious" trading patterns... However, one should notice that the boards are only full of complaints when stocks are moving down!
