El_Loco my original point was really about groups that do research to further their agenda and not for the betterment of society or the general knowledge base. I applaud your group if they can be above politics and can publish their finding independent of their preconceived belief systems.

K-12 truly is not Academia. However, education and research in a less literal definition can be found on many levels including this board. People conduct research or DD to decide if a particular stock is worthy of investment. I have witnessed truly great research and knowledgeable individuals on some boards. Does this research look like academic paper no. Is there an academic approach to the dd, yes sometimes.
When I work with kids I try to guide them to make educated decisions based from a systematic and consistent approach. The systematic transfer of knowledge is more my point on this. So yes you are correct Academia in the true sense is post-bac research work.

To tie this into BEHL. A statement was made about CO2 as a pollutant. I was refuting that CO2 is the great evil that it is now being made out to be. I have done my own DD or research and have come up with my own opinion about CO2. Too often people speak without ever doing any research.

However, for BEHL it isn't going to hurt the company if they can tie CO2 reduction (more like a Sequestration process) into their product delivery. Regardless if you agree with CO2 being a pollutant or not.

Can BEHL deliver on their main purpose? We will see. Will people with a green agenda push this stock? Perhaps. I approach BEHL as an long term investor. I try to bring a sense of academia to all parts of my life including investments.

Cheers
