ragi and other members, yes we can track the information by posters here and avoid the possible abuse. First of all I request all members and forum readers to post about only those stocks/companies that have some PRs/filings regarding merger/intent to merger. They should also post some links regarding the source of information, else the post won't be considered and will be removed.
I also request all readers and members of this forum to do their on DD before investing/trading in such speculations or merger plays. One can simply avoid such possible abuse by simply ignoring those posts and also by cross checking the merger information on I-HUB, Google and Yahoo finance boards and filings/PRs of those companies/stocks. It's simple, if someone is unable to do that much of research/DD on their own before taking a decision about investment then they should not be in investing/trading.
If you guys have some other ideas to avoid the possible abuse, then feel free to share. I think, we all together can make this forum clean and constructive.
