The reason folks loose money day trading is because they try and do so with to little money, without enough discipline and they exaggerate the problem by using margin.

Day trading can not be taught, it has to be discovered. It is more about discipline and controlling emotion than it is about technical savvy. It is a game of averages.

A good trader, well capitalized, in a liquid stock, rarely ever looses. I dug myself out of a $5,800 hole today after making a lazy mistake and loosing $0.48 on a 12,000 share trade.
