NY Times article today about cellphone companies rush to sue one another. The reporter Kevin J. O'Brien quotes Bill Tai of Charles River Ventures as saying that the new legal aggressiveness was a natural evolution. Nokia is described as fighting the economic downturn and losing market share while suing Apple, Samsung, LG and eight other competitors.
There is no mention of Interdigital and its struggle to protect its IPR from Nokia's exploitation. It is incredible to me how the ugly criticism of Interdigital for defending itself is now forgotten.
I believe that Interdigital needs to do a better public relations job to put pressure in the press and in government on Nokia and the other deadbeats.
