Did anyone notice the Manitoba achievement ? I bet this was worth a nice chunk also :)

Transportation deregulation has contributed to the growth of the trucking industry across North America, fuelling the need to assure public safety within the times of contrained budgets. As a result, the Government of Manitoba contracted the services of Spearhead formally Progestic International to deliver a new Carrier Profile System to meet their current and future needs in the operation, maintenance and enforcement of the National Safety Code. Progestic was responsible for the re-development of the Carrier Profile System. As part of the Project Planning, Spearhead authored a statement of work document, which included a Fixed Price Quotation for each group of Business Events and associated processes. A high level project was created to include status reporting, change/quality control and management activities.

The application contains modules utilized by various members of both the civil service and the general public via the Internet and Intranet. Information is captured through two distinct processes: electronic inter-jurisdictional data exchange and on-line data entry. Spearhead provided numerous enhancements and system corrections that significantly improved the quality and reliability of the system. We developed a migration path that would allow Transportation and Government Services to bring their services directly to their customers. Initially stabilizing and upgrading the environment, Progestic developed an Internet system to provide the Manitoba Carriers with a monthly summary of their profile, performance, convictions, offences, inspections and accidents. Spearhead also developed a Java application to run on the Manitoba Web environment that would authenticate Carriers and provide them with only their data. Spearhead created a quality assurance environment and a problem tracking procedure that would assure that the issues would be addressed in the proper order of importance. This project was such a success that the Carrier Profile System is being recommended to other Carrier suppliers across Canada.
