>I didn't make up anything.<

I'm just asking you for a reference as to where you found the data that said there "... are millions of young adults who have no desire for healthcare..."

Remember, you said they have no desire for healthcare, meaning that you read about their intent. I'm pretty sure that these data don't exist and you're just making up what you think young people want according to what you really want.

So either show me that survey you read, or take it back and stop making things up.

> that in these times to expect young adults to spend up to 9.8% of their gross pay on health insurance while they're loaded to the gills with the ridiculous college loans they're paying is silly.<

Have you read the general outlines of the bill that is proposed? The 9.8% is the *cap* on the % that the premium can be of their income. What they're actually paying is less, and in fact that cap slides down as you approach the poverty level. Plus, the cap isn't what they pay. You'll need to separate the two.

And again, you're assuming you know what these people want. Do you honestly think that you're in a position to be able to reasonably reflect if a 25 year old making 25K per year should or shouldn't have the option to spend 7.4% (that's the cap) of their salary on health insurance?

Listen, I'm not a super fan of this bill either as I believe it generally hides the problem that we have a poorly functioning *national* health care system, and that people's health and a financially profitable system are not really all that compatible. I think doctors should be salaried, and that this would be a great way of keeping costs down while not impacting care in the slightest. I think they have a moral obligation to do so given their purpose in society. But that's just me.

However, I have a huge disagreement with people making stuff up for either of these topics. If you're going to obfuscate, do it for things that don't impact people's health. Go make up great stats and survey results about the capital gains tax and how the young people are deadly worried that the capital gains tax may increase. I hear that's what the kids truly fear nowadays!
