I taught Anatomy for all those years and did not really come out and tell it like it is for all those mothers in my class that football was not a sport. I feel bad about that. It is about vicarious violence. It is the Roman gladiators killing other humans. It is a death struggle and humans pay a lot of money to see other people die. The same reason why people come out from everywhere to see a car accident or a shooting. It is the worst of human nature.
