Re: INTC has always been a whore, mostly in the way if has deprived AMD of the right to compete fairly.

And, for any one naive enough to think that Intel doesn't give away Itaniums (except for a handful of morons stupid enough to pay for one).

Intel and Unisys, have promised to directly support the creation of this supercluster by donating 256 Itanium 2 processors and providing the computing crossbars, cluster infrastructure, and disk storage arrays at manufacturer's cost.

The Itaniums are free.... and the other parts are subsidized.

Intel will do anything to try to deny AMD the right to sell their products.
