Heres' a start for ya...you do realize just how big eBay is don't you?

Posted this when folks were touting BZCN as another TJmax sometime ago.
I found this data link for eBay sellers, it offers a idea of the # of retail goods sellers there are on eBay.

Take their name and insert it into "Seller Search" and completed or current auctions.
They sell the gambit of retail, from drop ship, return, scratch & dent, overstock, wholesalers, liquidators, ect, ect.

Heres' one you can put into the "seller search" on eBay...

Terapeak Research offers some great tools for researching stats of Sellers, Feedback, Items, etc. etc...

I'm guessing some folks may not be as familiar with eBay as I or others might be....I've been an eBay user since '97.

There are many major retailers that have a presence and sell new & excess stock on eBay....

I would guess maybe 40% of eBay sellers are in actuality selling surplus, excess inventory of one sort or another.
Buying either from the mfr / distributor @ a discount, or from a surplus auction sale, and then selling it on eBay.
The item range is from overstock / dead inventory, old stock, etc TV remotes that they bought a lot of 5000 to industrial equipment from major companies that are downsizing.

The point being...bizauctions is not a lone entity or even one of a few in this industry
, they are just another in the very large pool of surplus sales.
Their profit margins would be more impressive...leastways to me if they were dealing with higher valued items than they currently are.
They use that "$60 Billion" line in every press....as its intended the large # just amazes folks...in reality their piece of that pie is insignificant.
