I don't know about the hit Uban took for the company, but I was there and know that Ed Dhonau speaking as a shareholder told us privately that under no circumstances was anyone from either company to speak on stage and that they had planned for Roger Glenn to say a few words but at the gathering earlier in the day a shareholder had said somethings to RG and he decided that it was in the best interest of the company that none should speak.
Also, the attendence was not thousands, I counted approximately 800 to 900 total. The room set up in a banquet setting will hold 1200 to 1500 depending on how much room is left for the dance floor..
I must say that from reading the boards it is almost as tho I attended a different event.. but as I posted before I left, that is why I went for myself..
