I am a scientist. I have done research but I have not doctored the data. A scientist does start with a wild ass guess. Then you do some sampling and read and study every available source of other research on the subject. But you run your own tests to see if there is any junk science that passed through the filter of reproducing the same results. Climate science is not my bag so I just try to keep an open mind. A scientist can not have faith. Only cults and religionists can have faith. I have no problem with lefty scientists when they do not doctor the data to fit their agenda. In fact 90 percent of the professors I worked with were on the left side of politics. The problem is that in order to get funding for their research they often had to curry favor from a politician. When I visited the new nuclear power plant at Turkey Point the folks there offered me free reign to study the effects of the warm water coming from the plant on the wild life. We did not get as far as asking for financial help but I got the impression that my numbers could be published without FPL messing with the numbers. I do know of cases where drug companies and oil companies do not want real numbers.
