Purple Communications, Incorporation Formerly known as GoAmerica, Inc.. The Group's principal activity is to develop and distribute wireless data technology, applications and software. The solutions address the productivity and communication needs of enterprise customers and consumers. The Group's communications solutions are primarily offered for consumers who are deaf, hard of hearing and/or speech-impaired. Its wireless subscription services operate over the T-Mobile wireless data network and consist primarily of two offerings: the resale of recurring monthly data-only services for deaf or hard of hearing customers and value added Wireless Toolkit(TM), which consists of a collection of services, including AAA Roadside Assistance, TTY/TDD messaging, and access to Insight Cinema's captioned movie information. In 2008, the group acquired Verizon TRS division.
