Um, ya. I did read it. In that passage, where did the Pentagon acknowledge the 380 tons went missing under their watch. And, why are the only sources of your article a couple aid workers and a 'pentagon official'. C'mon. This is what you call factual evidence? When did the said looting take place. At which munitions dumps? Wasn't quite clear was it?

The TRUTH is, mistakes happen in a time of war. Did these weapons at this facility go missing? It is possible. But, I highly doubt it. If you think about it, you've got an NBC news reporter - now with the ghastly FNC - who reported on it a long time ago. Now, if there was a huge weapons cache discovered, you don't think it would have been trumpeted all over the news at the time? You don't think the admin. would have used it verify that Saddam had not disarmed? So, where was it.

I let you in on a secret. It wasn't there.

But, but, what if it was? Oh my. Then, we may have a mistake in a time of war. I can't believe the Admin. didn't PLAN for this. Kerry surely has a plan for this.

So, answer me this. If the weapons did go missing before the troops got there, as Tommy Franks, NBC, the 82nd Airborne, the Admin, the Pentagon all state - you'll have to humor me here as I know you have better sources - where did they go? Did the article not state that the weapons made their way into the hands of terrorists? But, but, there were no terrorists in Iraq before Bush invaded were there? This is mighty peculiar.

I guess one would have to believe that the terrorists made their way into Iraq - after the thousands of US/coalition troops made their way in there and entrenched themselves - went straight to the biggest weapons caches in Iraq, and looted them to fund their 'insurgence'. Hmm, just how did they know where to go? Um, I hate to break it to you, but what you are proposing by you implicit belief in this article is that the terrorists were coordinated in their actions by someone in the former government of Iraq. Maybe Saddam, huh? Or did they just stumble across these weapons while out flying their kites?

What should really P.O. people about this story - given that the failed logic of the arguement apparently is not - is that this partisan bickering is landing squarely on the shoulders of the troops. Just like the last time Kerry was in the spotlight. Its disgusting. You think if the troops found these weapons and knew they couldn't guard them, they wouldn't have blown them up? Oh, but then they'd have nothing to do for the coming insurgence.

These arguements are so easy to pick apart it's disheartening. What are we all being fed here? You 'man' is a liar and a traitor, but his reprehensible behavior gets a free pass due to his political persuasion. He is doing it again by denegrating the US military in an effort to further himself politically. And you are complicit in it.
