Just thought I'd mention that my daughter is having the week of her life and can't stop smiling.

1. Won league softball championship late last week after an undefeated season.

2. Got a new Bach Stradivarius trumpet yesterday because she'd hit some performance goals I'd set for her. (I'm gonna speed-slap her if she doesn't got to Berklee or Juilliard -- too much pressure for a 13-year old? <g>)

3. Got a new Fender Frontman 25B bass amp because they threw it in pretty cheap.

4. Is going to see Rush tomorrow night (her and my favorite band) at Sandstone in something like the 15th row, center stage.

5. Going to Columbia Sunday evening to see Bela Fleck and the Flecktones. We're both hoping we can get Victor Wooten's autograph and she's bringing her bass just in case she can talk him into signing it or at least touching it. <g>

6. Starts her new job tomorrow working for me, keeping me organized, hammering on changes before I put them into production, keeping my coffee cup full, etc.

Definitely a good week for her. She's especially happy about the new horn. Been playing it like crazy. Gonna drive mom and dad crazy, too.
