My two college age kids dont go anywhere without their phones. When I asked them if they would click a 2D code on a poster in a movie theatre if it allowed them to see a movie trailer they said "you can do that!" I asked them if they would comparison shop using their phone, download coupons in the store, enter for free prizes/discounts you name it and their response was very positive. So I asked if they would mind if their preferences were stored, where they shop, what their likes and dislikes were, where they ate, saw a movie etc and they just laughed. Didnt care at all that someone would be tracking them (big brother concept). They said they know its done on Myspace, Facebook, Twitter. While I care more about those things than they do my generation will not be the target audience of this technology.
A sale of the company? Lets hope not yet. Too much to look forward to. Neustar, Scanbuy, Bems, Licenses, generating revenue. 2010 is our year.
