I'd like to think i have a fairly good grasp on the real world, particular how good business is done. I know of very few modern examples of bad business that ended well. I guess im just curious how many times Genta has screwed over its investors with false promises and shady manipulation. How many times has Genta been right there.. ready to hit pay dirt, and then not.. with yet another excuse?

You could say that is just the nature of the biotech beast. That many wrong answers are found before the right one is. That money is often lost in such ventures. But it is those that continue to believe, that continue to try, that finally find what they are looking for. Maybe...

Lets say you optimists are right, that another company had in fact realized, after all this time, that some degree of potential exists in something Genta currently owns rights to. Being partners with such a toxic company makes no sense. What does make sense is, this other company, realizing Genta was in dire financial need, would see this as an opportunity to procure this potential for pennies on the dollar. If this situation progresses in a manner common to modern business, the weak are taken advantage of, and consumed by the strong. This is called capitalism.

I suppose it is possible that Genta could in some way finally benefit from everything it has done since conception, but this is becoming more unlikely everyday. Genta has tried and failed, and now, IF they have actually done anything to contribute to Cancer Science, a good company will take it, develop it, and benefit from it.

As for Genta's faithful, it is likely they will be left with little to nothing. But hey, you guys could get lucky, and i hope you do. It is nice to see blind faith rewarded, as rare an event as it is :)
