I believe so...

All 992M shares will get a dividend paid to them. If someone is short, they owe the dividend to the stockholder. Since the dividend is not money, but rather private shares that can not be purchased anywhere (at this time), they would have no choice but to cover prior to the dividend.

If one were confident that a large short position really does exist, EXPH shares could really fly between now and the end of the year.

For the record, I am not a believer in a large short position here. I see the rather small short numbers shown on pinksheets.com, and have no reason to challenge their accuracy. However, JD may be privy to numbers that the rest of us are not.
