Los Angeles, CA, Jul 15, 2009 (M2 PRESSWIRE via COMTEX) -- DVME | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating -- Production is under way on the independent film "Monster Mutt," with funding having been arranged by Chris Nassif, CEO of Diverse Talent Group (DTG), a subsidiary of Diverse Media Group, Inc. (Pink Sheets: DVME). Nassif will receive a co-producer credit.
He also sees more such funding deals in the future. "The seismic changes to both the economy and the entertainment industry are creating opportunities to participate in the financing of films that haven't existed in years, Nassif says. "This is the perfect time for a company like ours to grow and be aggressive in this area."

Todd Tucker is slated to direct "Monster Mutt," a family/comedy following the exploits of the family dog, Max, as an evil corporation tests their new energy drink on the lovable Mutt. Max begins his transformation while the family tries to hold on to their lifelong friend.

"Monster Mutt" is produced by Harvey Lowry as Green Pictures third film, in association with Twisted Productions and in conjunction with Seth William Meier's Burnside Entertainment. Tucker and Lowry's combined efforts of Academy Award winning Drac Studios ("Pirates of the Carribean," "The Mask," "Dracula") will be providing all special effects.

Todd Tucker, Harvey Lowry and Seth Meier are all represented by Diverse Talent Group vice-president, Tom Harrison. Actor Zach Ward, also a DTG client, will star in the film.
