What if? Chief Justice Reinquist is in hospital with cancer. Election is thrown into disarray as several states are to close to call and neither candidate has electoral college majority. Legal process eventually arrives at Supreme Court. Court is deadlocked 4-4 because Reinquist is unable to vote. What happens?
