No Silver you have read that right. A few weeks ago Hochschild Mining raised money through a private placement and one of the stated reasons was to increase their investment in Lakeshore and Gold Resource. They are working towards getting to the 40% ownership that they are allowed and I think this PP was a way for them to gain shares without having to buy them on the open market. So they paid a premium, but not nearly as much as if they would have had to buy all those shares on the open market. I am not an investor in Lakeshore, just GORO and I wouldn't be surprised if we see a similar "strategic investment" with Gold Resource in the next few months that might also be near or even slightly above the current price. With Goro's tight share structure, buying shares on the open market will be extremely difficult for Hochschild (they need like 7 million to reach 40%). That's just my opinion though.
