(Yes I ignore "popular" vote - not sure where you hail from, but the only election where we can vote for the leader is the in the municipal. BY LAW we are not allowed to vote for Premier of the Province (eqv State Governor) nor the PM of Canada (eqv President) - we have a Senate but we have zero say in that too. So popular vote does not even count here either. Shit at least in Russia they get bread for free...).

No idea where you got will win by 10-30 electoral college votes. That isn't a small difference but a big sway.
