slbrown, the company's value is detemined by earnings;

Share price has nothing to do with earnings. If it did, then it would go lower when earnings were down and up when earnings were up.

Why do stocks trade all over the place then? How do stocks of companies that do NOT report earnings trade? Because buyers and sellers determine PPS; nothing else.

Simple as that. There would be no fluctuation in the markets if it worked the way you think it does.
