I canceled my Chase card after they refused to waive the fees for a payment I made 2 days late. First late payment in what, a decade? and it was because I moved and my bill was not forwarded by the post office. Oh, they also wanted to raise my rates.
A rep on the phone actually said, "Sorry, but this is the only way we can make money off of your account."
So I canceled. Not much I can do about it but tell the world that Chase sucks and doesn't care about their good customers.
Basically, the credit card companies are proving that their business model is to take advantage of the people that can't afford to have credit. To me, that's despicable.
