The debt holders don't care one way or the other about the future of SIVC. Their business model is not built around investing in the equity of companies.

They want to lend a publicly traded company money for interest, or, convert the debt to equity at a discount to the current share price and liquidate. They have no intention of ever holding shares in the companies they lend to except in the event of default on the loan at which point they want out as soon as possible.
