Right. There is a whole class of companies out there who window-dress themselves as "research" firms and who are anything but.

They are paid marketers and their analysis consists of repeating whatever their client (in this case Cobra) tells them. The added benefit they provide is the disguising of this advertising as objective research results. It turns out that every single bit of research and analysis done on Cobra / Viper has been by such companies (as far as I am aware). Legit firms who simply aggregate and propagate info created elsewhere, may end up lending their name to false data unwittingly. But it is only "parallax" -- a sort of optical illusion, to think any legitimate firm is endorsing such stocks. To the extent there is independent research on the viper, it has been done by individual investors, some of whom are posting on Yahoo Finance boards (VPRS) for instance.
