View Additional ProfilesFAIRFIELD, NJ -- (MARKET WIRE) -- 11/11/09 -- Virtual Ed Link, Inc. (PINKSHEETS: VRED) -- Dr. Alan McCartney, COO of Virtual Ed Link, announced today that the company received considerable interest from superintendents and other educational leaders at the New York State Council of School Superintendent's (NYSCOSS) Fall Leadership Summit at the Rochester Riverside Convention Center in Rochester, New York, at the end of October.

School leaders at the conference were interested in discussing the premise, "mass notification technology without sufficient planning, training, preparation and communication will exacerbate an already chaotic situation." School leaders that attended the breakfast round table discussions and stopped at the Virtual Ed Link booth were impressed with the comprehensive functionality of the Safety and Security System.

Leaders shared their concerns over recent events and told individual stories of shootings, abductions and situations becoming chaotic due to misunderstanding and poor communication. At least 21 school districts representing over 50,000 students requested on-site visits or webinars from company management. In addition, three regional information center leaders representing a total of 350 school districts and approximately 70,000 students showed interest in replicating the partnership we currently have with the Northeastern Regional Information Center.

Our unique holistic approach provides the best solution available for educational organizations to meet the challenge, beyond teaching and learning, which culminates in the safety and security of the populations; students, teachers, staff, and the communities in which they reside. More and more school leaders are starting to see the value in the resources we can put at their fingertips.
