There appears to be quite a bit of confusion by a number of Users here about the rules of this site and laws surrounding promotional activities. The board has been closed for a few days to ensure that all involved have the time to become fully compliant with both SEC laws and the Terms of Use of this site.

While iHub is not a regulatory agency and has no authority to enforce SEC laws, all commercial Users need to participate in the Investor Relations Program (IRP) here. In a nutshell this means that people who are legally required to disclose compensation under 17b, should have an icon in their profile designating them as an IRP along with a standard compensation disclosure on each post where it is needed. This allows the IRP to be legally compliant with their required disclosures, while providing consistent, recognizable transparency to other Users here.

Closing the board will provide the folks who are compensated the time to consult with their legal advisers to understand the laws surrounding promotional activities and ramifications for failing to adhere to them. During this hiatus, it is also expected that these Users will also become fully compliant with the rules of this site.

Because we hope that there was naivete (as opposed to maliciousness) surrounding the recent activities here, we will re-open the board after 7 days, if the original Mod requests this course of action. Our hope would be that it would then become a board focused on sharing stock picks amongst friends with full disclosure of any promotional activities.

If the original Mod is not interested in resuming the board, then it will remain closed.
