My problem with the CC was ARIA's complete refusal to deal with any of the financing issues facing the company. (At the current burn rate, they seem to have only three quarters of cash left.) They tried to weasel out of the questions by constantly referring to their new global licensing agreement that they are (or trying to) reformulate with Merck. They refused to go into specifics of Merck milestones. They kept saying that things were contingent upon data. Maybe so, but it was disconcerting to listen to.

I'm not sure I trust Berger and management on this. Does anyone here know the exact nature of the previous dispute between Berger and the BOD? Was it a question of his trustworthiness?
