I think you might be surprised how this plays out. Sao Tome wants Sonangol in their waters, and they recognized Sinopec's deep pockets. ERHC could easily partner with the two in a manner similar to the JDZ.

The alternative is to lock the EEZ up in arbitration if Sao Tome wants to re-neg on their previous commitments granted to ERHC for its efforts bringing them onto the world scene.

I don't think anyone wants the EEZ locked up for years, but if backed into a corner... what else can ERHC do? Those ungrateful fools in Sao Tome that keep delaying their own rise from poverty need to be held accountable by their voters.

ERHC talked to them and helped them resolve the JDZ when nobody else would. Our thanks is a knife stabbed into our back? For helping them?

I hope the majority of Sao Tomeans have more integrity than the ones we've had to deal with, and I hope the Sao Tomean voters are aware that it is their Government that is keeping them in poverty.
