This topic of inflammation as a cause coronary artery disease and amenable to treatment strategies is worth digging deeper. Dew's post #2393 refers to a long article that serves as an excellent primer on the topic, well-written, yet in layman's language. I recommend it highly.

I have resisted learning about this topic because it seems too complex to understand, too many pathways involved, and the relationship to pathology too tenuous. (I confess to a similar prejudice that has squelched my enthusiasm for treatments for neurological degenerative disorders). But, obviously many companies and researchers do not share my skepticism and are well on the way to explore ways to understand, manipulate, and exploit vascular inflammation. The momentum is building in this area. I'm not sure Decode is the way to play this field, but I am now starting to look for a way to get on the bandwagon.
