What, how did you do your DD if you didn't know he was the CEO before you called him? That is just plain sad.

Just an FYI: not hiring an IR firm is a VERY COMMON PRACTICE for small tech companies because it keeps costs down. Most tech companies are worried about developing the product first before they add things on to attract investors. As an economist, I like this practice: don't add unnecessary costs if you don't need them.
