Health insurance companies acting like trusts? Bullcrap.
It is the government that prohibits them from going across state lines. Look up how many insurance companies there are and then tell me they are trusts....
Even if what you say were true, it is not the governments place to offer "competition".

And "nobody is suggesting the gov't take over the health industry"? Are you kidding? The number of congressmen/women who say that is their ultimate goal with all this is legion. Don't forget that President Obama is on tape saying that "what (he'd) like to see is a single-payer health care system".

If the government is so great at health care than why is medicare going broke? Why is medicaid going broke? Why do most vets hate the VA?

You ask what are the poor supposed to do. Thats what medicaid was supposed to be for no? Is it working? If so, then why do we need more? If it is not, why are we going to trust the same jerks with more money/power?
