The strategy for the share increase seems pretty simple, it keeps the other party(s) in the negotiations from waiting for the money to run out and then scooping a deal at the lowest possible price. Two things come to mind here 1) if there was only one viable party in the negotiations then this strategy wouldn't work as that party could just wait it out regardless of share increase - it probably would just buy COR a few months at the price they would be forced to finance at anyway which would not give them enough time to honeymoon a new suitor and finalyze a deal. 2) If there are offers for the entire company to be sold off, an increase in shares would allow more flexibility in dealing with different types of offers - allowing more parties to take an interest. That being said, I am still reluctant to vote for the share increase until I see some sort of positive progress.
